College Football 2016 is around the corner and let’s begin the talk on who has the best odds to win the national championship. With the highest odds of winning the national title at +650, the Alabama Crimson Tide seek their 17th national championship in school history. Despite, losing many defensive players at the conclusion of the 2015 season due to eligibility for the NFL draft, Alabama continues to consistently be within contention of the national championship year in and year out.
In addition, with Alabama’s high-powered coaching staff lead by Nick Saban with a 100-18 coaching record in 10 years with the school, Alabama is destined to win this year’s national championship and considered to be a dynasty among college football programs with numerous years of winning football.
With most people putting their money on the Michigan Wolverines as the other team favored to win the national championship besides, Michigan is the sixth most favored team with a +1200 odd to win the national championship.

With a highflying top five defense and Jim Harbaugh at the helm Michigan has a legitimate chance of winning however, in my opinion I don’t see the Michigan Wolverines winning but rather, I see the Clemson Tigers having a high chance to win it all.
First, with the second best odds amongst all schools at +800 just behind Alabama, Clemson is ready to give Alabama all their money’s worth. Secondly, with this year’s national championship game loss by five, fresh in their mind Clemson will try particularly harder to defeat Alabama if there proves to be a repeat national championship game in 2017.
This year’s dark horse I believe will be the Washington Huskies with a +3300 odds to win the national championship. With a premier defense in the PAC 12 last year and a up and coming quarterback and running back Washington is proved to make a serious run at bowl contention in this upcoming year.
To add on, it is more likely that the Huskies make a serious run to win the national championship since there last championship came in 1991, which allows for the players of this year’s football team to become extra motivated to win and ultimately, stop the drought.
