Dallas Cowboys at Carolina Panthers
Line: Cowboys -10.5
Over/Under: 42.5
Tony Romo will see Jessica Simpson everywhere this week, as thousands of Panther fans will be holding look-a-like cutouts of the buxom pop singer at the stadium Saturday night. Don't look for it to have the desired effect. Romo looked awful in his last start, as it appears his sprained thumb didn't allow him to deliver the ball the way he's used to. Reports are that the thumb won't be a problem this week. Look for a better game out of the Dallas offense, while the Cowboy defense, particularly the front seven, will cause problems for QB Moore, who is making only his second career start.
Dallas does have weak spots, notably in the secondary, but this Panther offense won't be able to exploit it. The Panther defense is going to wear down as the game goes on, as they will not get the support needed from the offensive unit. We expect many three-to-five play drives by Carolina, and then their D will be rolled out onto the field.
They might keep it close for a while, but the Cowboys will pull away and win this one convincingly. That said, we are going to be cautious with the hook on the pointspread and buy this to 10.
Take Dallas.
