Houston Texans vs. Cincinnati Bengals

This is a big one for the Texans. I don’t remember a bigger prime time matchup for this franchise. Not the ugly loss to the Patriots in 2012 (when they were 11-1) or yet another ugly loss to the Seahawks a decade ago.

Houston Texans vs. Cincinnati Bengals

AJ Green and the undefeated Bengals host an inconsistent Texan team

This one trumps those.

Cincy are in entirely uncharted waters, still yet to taste defeat with Thanksgiving looming. The Bengals are undefeated. The Texans are still in the race for a divisional crown in the awful AFC South.

The line has the home side as a double digit favorite.

Houston pushed another undefeated team pretty hard, hanging with Carolina until late.

However, with no real running game, it’s going to be very difficult for the Houston offense to get the job done. Cincy’s “bend but don’t break” defense has been able to stiffen up again and again when challenged in the red zone. It shouldn’t be an overly difficult task to play up to their Top 5 Scoring Defense ranking Monday night.

Asking the Texans to show some consistency and string together two wins, this one on the road vs. a team that does matchup very well with them, holding clear edges in several areas. Don’t see it.

I do foresee scenarios that see them hanging around and covering the 10.5 points. But count me out for a bet on the underdog. The probability just doesn’t quite get there for me.

So it’s “El Paso” for me on the Monday night. Going to sit this one out.

Duck into the Everyedge Sports Betting Forum for picks on the game. There will undoubtedly be quite a number of members who aren’t pussies like me and have stepped up and made plays. Head in and see what they have going.

Enjoy the game!
