Packers vs. Chiefs Total Play

  • by

The Packers offense just doesn’t make mistakes at home and the Chiefs’ offense just doesn’t take chances, home or away.

Aaron Rodgers hasn’t thrown a pick in over 400 pass attempts at Lambeau. Alex Smith hasn’t thrown a TD pass to a wideout in over 400 pass attempts (give or take, I’m not exactly sure how many its been…but you get the point).

Both streaks could end tonight.

Looking for this one to go low

Rodgers will be facing a very athletic defense, one capable of getting pressure on the QB, while backed by a talented secondary. Smith could find himself forced to play a little catch up, which might mean taking some shots outside.

But I don’t see a shootout coming our way.

I’m looking at a play on the total tonight, with the line currently at 49 (odds courtesy Pinnacle Sports)

The Packers are dealing with injuries at the skill positions and KC will be very focused on playing their ball-control game, doing whatever they can to keep Rodgers on the sidelines. Long, time-clock churning drives will be the order of the day from Coach Reid and staff.

And I don’t see Green Bay changing the storyline with quick-hit scores, forcing the Chiefs’ to abandon the plan.

With KC doing a decent job of controlling the clock and the Packers’ offense held in check to some extent, it is going to be tough to get to more than 50 points.

With a total of 49, I like this one to stay Under.

1 unit on the Under

Good luck!
