Bovada: San Diego Padres -134 vs Cincinnati Reds +124 Total 9

Yesterday’s pick lost as the Royals were down a touchdown and a field goal before they got up to bat. As I stated, good pitchers can have bad games.

In this afternoon affair I am on the over. This write-up is short and sweet and based on three scenarios, the size of the park, the Padres’ ability to hit vs. lefties and the home plate umpire.

From Home Plate

· For starters, San Diego has been hitting the ball well as they are averaging 7.1 runs per game in their last seven contests.

· The Reds are 10–01 to the over when revenging a home loss to an opponent by 6 or more runs the last two seasons.

· The Padres are 16–07 to the over vs. lefties this season.

· Cincinnati is 21–14 to the over at home.

· The Padres have played nine consecutive games whereby the combined scores were nine or more runs.

· Home plate umpire Tom Hallion is a solid over umpire when two lefties face one another as teams are 11–02–01 to the over the past two seasons when two lefties meet combining for an average score of 11.1 runs per game.

Padres v Reds Pick

My Every Edge selection for this afternoon is for the San Diego Padres and Cincinnati Reds to sail over 9 runs at +110 when I invested on this game.
