Redskins vs. Chiefs MNF Pick

Another week, another loss with these NFL picks. Consistency is not our friend in this case. Persistence, perhaps unfortunately for anyone reading along, is baked in, so onward we march. Let’s have a look at:

Redskins vs. Chiefs Pick

Redskins vs. Chiefs Pick
Monday Night Football serves up an intriguing battle. The Chiefs might be playing the best football of any team in the league at this early stage, while the Redskins booked an impressive win last week vs. another AFC West frontrunner, the Oakland Raiders (that one also played in primetime).

Now they head west to one of the toughest stadiums in the league to be a visitor. And they’ll have to deal with an element that hasn’t been associated with a trip to Arrowhead very often the last few years – an explosive offense with the home team.

Alex Smith actually leads an offense that can strike fast, get vertical and break big plays. Go figure. Youngsters Tyreek Hill and Kareem Hunt are impressive talents. The Redskins’ defense will be challenged. But they are a unit with the pieces to manage Smith and co. Not stop them, but handle what will be thrown at them Monday night. I like what I see from the Washington D.

On the other side of the ball, the Kansas City defense is going to have problems of their own. Washington’s offense can create a lot of stress for a D; particularly a defense that is susceptible to both the run and pass.

I think the Skins are legit. They have the offense to exploit some clear weaknesses the KC defense presents – look for them to establish the run and open up the passing game.

The Chiefs will move the ball as well. And they do enjoy one of the best homefield advantages in the NFL, which needs to be accounted for, but I don’t see the home team running away in this one.

I like the visiting Skins to make a game of this and will take the 7-points on the underdog.

Washington +7
