Super Bowl Odds: Green Bay Packers

The days of the Seahawks taking Green Bay’s milk money are over. If Aaron Rodgers stays healthy, the Packers will rep the NFC in the Super Bowl – and win it.

Let’s have a look at the current odds:

Super Bowl Odds for Green Bay Packers: 5-1 (courtesy 5 Dimes)

Odds to win the NFC: 3-1

The only team with lower odds to win the Lombardi Trophy and the NFC Championship is, you guessed it, Seattle.

I’m not putting anything down on the Packers, as the value just isn’t there, but they are the best team in the league right now.

Hell, they were the best team in the NFC last season. They went on the road to the toughest place to play in the league, the beautiful CenturyLink (I love that stadium) and beat the Seahawks in front of the 12th man.

I know the scoreboard didn’t say that was a Packer win and the city of Green Bay went into mourning while Seattle packed their bags for another Super Bowl appearance – but Rodgers and crew beat the Seahawks that day, regardless of the final score.

Yes there are question marks in the secondary and they’ll need a couple of youngsters to step up (notably their first two draft picks, Damarious Randall and Quinten Rollins). I’m not overly concerned.

The front seven will be fine, helping to give the defensive backfield time to gel (I look forward to the continuing chaos and improved play from this D when they shift Clay Matthews between inside and outside linebacker).

And on offense, they bring back everybody. Enough said.
