hello guys, I am looking for some information on how to get into the horse field. I read you can buy a share or a sindicate? How do these work? are they good? I saw Louie I believe has a horse or two, how did you get into it?

I haven't heard to many good things about buying shares, and some people still invest in horses for tax shelter/write-off purposes. So it doesn't sound like it's profitable for the majority there are always a few that strike it big so there is always a chance. I've never owned one so maybe an owner could step up to the plate and give us some solid info.

Hey Don.
I own 3 horses....2 with one stable I have been with for 10 years and 1 new one. I keep my investment in them small and simple. I usually will buy about $5,000 to $10,000 interest and no more. An owner is an owner....you get all the same benefits here in KY whether you own a little or all of a horse.
Sonny....hope this is ok...I am giving them the website of the latest group I joined. You can see a sample of the agreement and other things.

tmw......I have had luck with this one only. It is run by some local CPA's here in town. You can get in for $500 and have some fun. The only horse they started previously is one by the name of Techno Vision. He has doen quite well.
The second one is this group...Countless Connections and begins soon....check out the site
