The last time we saw the Cincinnati Bengals in action was early Sunday in Week 8, as they played to a 27-27 draw with the Washington Football Club in London. Tonight Cinci is taking on a Giants team in the midst of a three-game unbeaten streak.

WEEK 10 MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

Odds: Bengals ‘Pick’ and O/U 47.5

New York’s five wins have all come by a margin of seven points or less but at least four of them were quality opponents. Their record against playoff teams from last season is 0-3, however, and if New York is to make a run to the playoffs they’ll have to prove they can handle veteran squads like the Bengals and Steelers during the second-half.

The Giants defense is giving up 371 yards per game (23rd) but they are 11th in scoring thanks to a ball hawking secondary with eight picks in its past three games. Andy Dalton averaged 0.5 interceptions per game through 2015 and he’s thrown just three in eight games this year with an overall completion percentage ranking sixth at 67-percent.

The names ahead of Dalton on that list are impressive: Brady, Brees, Bradford, Ryan, Stafford. And Dalton was missing one of his top weapons through much of this season. TE Tyler Eifert returned vs. the Browns but his first game making an impact was against Washington. Eifert made nine grabs for 102 yards and a score and last season he finished with 13 TDs in 13 games. Cinci’s two other tight ends have zero TDs this season and the Bengals record since the start of 2015 when Eifert finds the endzone is 7-1-1 SU and 6-2-1 ATS.

New York was 27th defending tight ends last year and they have improved to 19th in 2016 but it’s still their weak spot. The team’s strengths are shutting down top wideouts (3rd overall) and running backs after the catch (5th) but expecting them to do all of the above at a high level for 60 minutes is probably asking too much.

Cinci’s O-Line is in decent shape and they’ll face a pass rush that’s been feasting the past few weeks, albeit against weaker and more injury laden fronts. The Bengals have won the battle of possession five of the past six games and we’ll look for them to do the same tonight.

Pick: Take the Bengals
