After suffering their first loss of the season to the Rough Riders (3-1 SU), the Lions look to regroup in Week 4 and as the saying goes, “There is no place like home!”
Only one team has won on the road through the first three and-half weeks in 2012 and the Eskimos will be in tough against a solid Lions defence that hasn’t lost at home since Aug, 13, 2011. During that span, the Lions are 9-0 straight-up and 7-2 ATS at home with 5 overs, 3 unders and a push.
Bookmakers have favored the Lions in all nine games and the four times where BC backers were forced to lay more than touchdown they are 3-1 against the spread. Sports books opened this week’s contest at -7.5 (-105) but the home chalk is getting hit, with one sports handicapping site reporting up to 59-percent action.
Although QB Steven Jyles and the Eskimos are coming off of their most impressive offensive performance of the season, the fact it still took Jyles three games to throw his first passing TD is troubling. Lions QB Travis Lulay has five such TDs through three weeks and knows that to keep pace in the West is to limit turnovers. In 96 attempts, Lulay has tossed three interceptions this season.

The Lions rank third allowing 25.0 points per game and we expect a defensive battle Friday night.
