Every week (or we are going to try every week) we are going to blog our College Football Picks that we are going to bet each week. Though Week 1 every year brings up a lot of mismatches, bringing a lot of uncertainty on how good teams are. Look at Tennessee Volunteers – touted as a contender in the SEC and they survived an overtime victory over big bad Appalachian State. Wolverine Nation knows about them. In the early season of college football, I won’t pay much to the media hype on upcoming teams like a Tennessee and won’t mind backing big chalk in these early weeks. We split our college football picks into Leans (1/2 unit to 1 unit), Plays (1.5 to 2 Units) and Best Bets (3 Unit or more).

LEANS

Pinnacle Odds: Rutgers +27 vs Washington -27 Total 54

Rutgers +27 over Washington – I like the Huskies this year, but I’m not drinking the Koolaid yet.

Pinnacle Odds: Notre Dame -3.5 vs Texas +3.5 Total 59.5

Under 59.5 Notre Dame/Texas – I’m expecting a tough Notre Dame road team playing another offensively inept Charlie Strong Longhorns.

PLAYS

Pinnacle Odds: Hawaii +40 vs Michigan -40 Total 54.5

Michigan -40 over Hawaii – I like Hawaii, the state. People are great, the scenery beautiful. But after playing last week in Australia and then traveling to an Eastern time zone in the US, your body clock is a “bit” messed up. On top of that you lost by 20 to a mediocre Cal team and your about to face the vicious Jim Harbaugh Wolverines. Harbaugh will not take it easy, in no certain terms.

BEST BETS

Pinnacle Odds: Bowling Green +28 vs Ohio State -28 Total 67

Ohio St. -28 over Bowling Green – With a seasoned QB in JT Barrett and a very rookie group, this group will look to impress out of the gate and show the nation they are worthy of all the media and support of their backers. Bowling Green is last year’s MAC champs, but they have lost their coach, their QB and big play receivers. This will be a regression year for the Falcons.

Good luck this College Football season and make sure to drop into Everyedge Forum to get plays and tips from the best posters in the world.
