College Football Week 5 has, big, big games this week with top rank teams playing each other. We have No. 3 Louisville vs No.5 Clemson, No.8 Wisconsin vs No.4 Michigan, and to start it all off on Friday, No. 7 Stanford vs No. 10 Washington. These are great tests on how worthy these teams are for the “final” in January.
Week 5 was slightly better than the previous week going 2-3 overall and the Leans finally got in the win column. Overall, back to 0 units.
We split our college football picks into Leans (1/2 unit to 1 unit), Plays (1.5 to 2 Units) and Best Bets (3 Unit or more).
LEANS (1-6)
Pinnacle Odds: Utah +2.5 vs California -25 Total 67.5
Under 67.5 – Play Under – Any team against the total (CALIFORNIA) – with a terrible defense – allowing 6.1 or more yards/play, after outgaining opp by 175 or more total yards in their previous game.
Pinnacle Odds: Louisville -2 vs Clemson +2 Total 67
Louisville -2 – The line opened -2 in Clemson’s favour and the line moved swiftly 4 points the other direction to the Cardinals. The Cardinals have looked very 2015 Tigers like this year and Louisville are 4 to 6 points better than this Clemson squad.
PLAYS (3-4)
Pinnacle Odds: Kentucky -35 vs Alabama +35 Total 57
Under 57 – The Crimson Tide’s defense has played superb in all but one game and Kentucky is no Ole Miss on offence. Alabama has Arkansas on tap next week in Little Rock and the pedal will come off the floor in the second half.
Pinnacle Odds: Texas +3 vs Oklahoma State -3 Total 70.5
Texas +3 – The Longhorns are vastly improved side and with a bye last week are going to be fresh plus are 5-0 SU in their last five trips to Stillwater.
BEST BETS (3-1)
Pinnacle Odds: Utah State +19.5 vs Boise State -19.5 Total 58.5
Over 58.5 – The Broncos are firing on all cylinders and after what the Aggies did to them last year, points are going to come fast and furious. The Over has hit 7 out of 8 times in this series.
