College Football Week 9 is here and this weekend could be frightfully for top ranked teams – Clemson, Michigan and Washington – and playoff aspirations.
We went 2-2-1 after a horrific few weeks ourselves. Our Best Bets are a steady 4-4 which we hope to turn into a treat by the end of the season.
We split our college football picks into Leans 1 unit), Plays (2 Units) and Best Bets (3 Units).
LEANS (3-10-1)
Pinnacle Odds: Michigan -24 vs Michigan State +24 Total 54.5
Under 54.5 This is a rivalry. No matter how bad the Spartans are this season, this is their championship game. At home.
Pinnacle Odds: Washington -10 at Utah +10 Total 54
Washington -10 The Huskies may not have the toughest schedule in the land, but they are a talented group with the No. 2 passer in the nation – Jake Browning. The Utes have a nice record, but are much weaker than previous years.
PLAYS (5-9-1)
Pinnacle Odds: Clemson -4.5 at Florida State +4.5 Total 60
Clemson -4.5 Tigers are going into enemy territory, but the pressure just doesn’t seem to faze them. The Seminoles haven’t been impressive despite Phil Steele taking them almost every week. FSU best player on defense – Derwin James is doubtful and the Tigers I have them winning by 10 points.
Pinnacle Odds: Auburn -4.5 at Ole Miss +4.5 Total 64.5
Auburn -4.5 Lots of trends on Auburn to win and my favourite is – after beating the spread by 49 or more points total in Auburn’s last seven games, with a winning record on the season playing a losing team. Enough said.
BEST BETS (4-4)
Pinnacle Odds: New Mexico +3 at Hawaii -3 Total 64.5
New Mexico +3 Like the road dog here and though travel may be a factor, New Mexico is 6-0 vs the Rainbow Warriors since 1992.
