EPL Picks: Can Super Harry help Spurs ‘Kane’ managerless Villa?

EPL Picks

After the seven thrilling matches having been played on Saturday around the country there are just three games remaining from the 11th round of EPL football. The biggest match is the clash of Tottenham and manager-less Aston Villa on Monday Night Football as the home team look to close on a European spot at the top of the table and the away side at White Hart Lane aim to move off the bottom of the table.

Which way will this game, as well as the two clashes being played on Sunday, go? We preview all three and provide our top EPL picks with online sportsbook WilliamHill.com.

Tottenham v Aston Villa: 1.44 – 4.20 – 8.00

The last match of this Halloween weekend pits the sides sitting second and last in the form table from over the last six EPL matches together in North London and, rather unsurprisingly, it is the home team who are favoured to win this game comfortably in front of the TV cameras. Tottenham have collected 14 points from their last six games and have lost just a single game this season while their guests have not collected a point in this timeframe and have just a single win all season long – and that came on the opening day of the season almost three months ago!

Tottenham fans would have been worried about the performances of their top goalscorer from last season, Harry Kane, as he had bagged just one goal in the first nine games of this campaign but the England striker was at the top of his game last weekend as he netted three times away at Bournemouth and with Villa being incredibly poor at the back this season we can see Kane continuing his resurgence in front of the Tottenham fans this Monday night as he helps his side to another three points.

We are backing Tottenham to win and Harry Kane to score at odds of 2.25 in the William Hill Sportsbook!

Everton v Sunderland: 1.53 – 3.80 – 7.00

After back to back defeats to Manchester United and Arsenal in the league Everton managed to steady the ship on Tuesday night as they defeated Norwich on penalties to book their place in the Quarter Finals of the Capital One Cup and they’ll need all of that confidence boost for this weekend’s game against Sunderland as the Black Cats claimed their first win of the season last weekend. They defeated their local rivals Newcastle 3-0 and their confidence will be through the roof, but can they take advantage of this and win back to back matches?

There is no better place to travel to than Goodison Park for Sunderland as they have won two in a row against Everton on this ground, both of which came without a goal conceded, and with them knowing that a third successive win will see them ahead of Norwich to move out of the relegation zone. Everton are in a slump too with them having failed to win in four in all competitions (the cup win against Norwich in the shootout is officially a draw) but the cup triumph during the week will see them confident of returning to winning ways.

We do not see the home side being as large favourites as the odds make them to be, but with plenty of goalscorers in this Everton side and them facing a leaky Sunderland defence we foresee there being goals on Merseyside this Sunday afternoon.

Our top Everton v Sunderland tip is back both teams to score @ 1.91 with William Hill.

Southampton v Bournemouth: 1.57 – 3.80 – 6.00

Things are going from bad to worse for Bournemouth recently with them losing top striker Callum Wilson to a long term injury after they saw record signing Tyrone Mings ruled out for more than six months earlier in the season. To cap this off they have been on the end of two EPL beatings as Man City and Tottenham have both beaten them 5-1 in their last league matches. They face a very good Southampton team this Sunday, so can they turn things around?

Bournemouth have lost four of their five away Premier League clashes this season and have conceded 14 goals, including ten in their last three, while Southampton have scored ten goals in their last four home league clashes as they won two and drew one. Both of these sides on current form are capable of both scoring and conceding goals and we can see goals offering the value in this match.

Back both teams to score and +2.5 goals at St. Mary’s this Sunday at odds of 2.25 at William Hill.
