There are just two matches playing in the Premier League this Sunday afternoon, but the lack of numbers is certainly made up for with the quality on show. The opening game can see Chelsea claim the EPL title at home one of the sides of 2015 in Crystal Palace, while the latter game sees a must win game for both Tottenham and Manchester City. We preview both games and find some great value in our EPL Picks with Unibet.com below.
Tottenham v Man City: 3.75 – 3.70 – 1.98
The biggest match from the Premier League takes place in North London as the sides that started the weekend sixth and second battle for all three points at White Hart Lane, although Tottenham are looking upwards and City downwards. Tottenham are right in a battle with Liverpool and Southampton for the final European place in the league while their guests this Sunday have been in poor form of late and can consider themselves to be lucky to still be in the race for the a Champions League place.
They have lost three of their last six Premier League matches and their away form has seen four successive defeats for the reigning champions. They are missing Yaya Toure, Vincent Kompany and Stevan Jovetic for this match too and with Tottenham having won seven and drawn three of their last 11 matches at White Hart Lane the home side could very well upset the odds for this match.
Tottenham did fail to score in their last match on home soil as they were beaten 1-0 by Aston Villa but the previous six games did see them net 18 goals and we feel that they have a great chance at bouncing back from the loss to Villa with goals against a brittle City defence. As a result of this we are backing Tottenham to score +1.5 goals against Manchester City at odds of 2.48 with Unibet.com.
Chelsea v Crystal Palace: 1.34 – 5.10 – 10.00
No matter what happens anywhere else in the Premier League if the hosts of this Chelsea v Crystal Palace match can claim a single point then they will be crowned Premier League champions for the first time since 2010. They have won 13 and drawn three of their 16 home EPL matches this season and manager Jose Mourinho has almost a full squad to choose from for this match with just top scorer Diego Costa out injured.
Palace have been in excellent form since new manager Alan Pardew took charge at the start of 2015 as he guided the club from the relegation zone into the safety of mid-table. However, after moving past the magical 40 point mark in the league table it appears that the players have their minds set on their summer holidays as they have lost 2-0 at home to West Brom and Hull in their last two matches – costing us cash in the process! It would not surprise us to see them perform much better in this earlier of the two Super Sunday games this weekend, but with Jose Mourinho having set his side out to grind down teams in recent weeks we cannot see anything but another tight and functional performance from Chelsea as they take all three points and the Premier League title.
Back Chelsea to win the match with a clean sheet at odds of 1.83 in the Unibet Sportsbook!
