Golden State Warriors vs New Orleans Pelicans Pick

When Golden State vs. New Orleans tips off Thursday night at the Smoothie King Center, the Warriors will be trying to make it three in a row, but I don’t see the Pelicans as a disheartened opponent.

Golden State vs New Orleans

Game 3 won’t be The Big Easy for Curry and crew

Golden State is going to win the series, but they certainly haven’t broken the spirit of this New Orleans team.

If anything, those back-to-back losses out west were more a liberal dose of “emboldened” rather than “disappointing”.

The Pelicans hung around and pushed the best home team in the league. Now they get to come back home and take their best shot in front of the home town fans.

And they could catch a Golden State team feeling a little content with themselves.

This sets up as a nice spot for the home underdog.

The current odds on the game, from Top Bet Sports, is the Warriors -5.

Look for the usual from Anthony Davis and his supporting crew, notably Eric Gordon (23 points last game), Tyreke Evans (16 points in Game 2), plus a bounce-back from Quincy Pondexter, who was quiet on Monday.

I’ll take the five points on a home dog that I believe has a reasonable chance at pulling off the upset.

New Orleans +5
