Sunday February 28th, 2016 is the big night for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences aka The Academy Awards. For the last 25 years, I’ve been in various Oscar pools and winning a few of them. Over the years, I’ve noticed how much bookmakers have helped me win a few Oscar pools and found it interesting that many never use bookmakers odds on the categories to help with one’s selections.

This may be obvious to those who visit Everyedge, but it is unbelievable how many oscar poolsters do not. They are more concerned on whether they have seen the movie or not.  Now, my competition in oscar pools may be more into what actors/actresses such as Halle Berry is wearing that night or how little of what she is wearing. Our friends at Pinnacle Sports have wrote about the research and the data behind and odds in predicting the Oscar winners on Sunday night in Hollywood.

One thing you must keep in mind, the Academy voting is made up of old white men who had a liberal streak in them once.
