Dallas Stars at Carolina Hurricanes, O/U 5.5
My EveryEdge NHL record is 1–0–1 for +1.13-units as my second offering on the Canucks/Penguins under 5 goals landed on exactly 5 on Wednesday night.
The Carolina Hurricanes enter tonight’s game vs. the Dallas Stars with two days rest so I’m expecting Cam Ward to be in the net tonight for the Hurricanes. Ward has allowed 10 goals in three home games for a 87.8% save percentage with two sailing over the total while the other contest pushed. Ward has a GAA of 3.57 vs. the Stars with a record of 3–3–1. If Ward doesn’t start then Eddie Lack will be in goal. Lack has appeared in 3 games, (2 starts,) and allowed 9 goals with a save percentage of 85.2% this season.
As for Dallas, neither goalie has shined when facing Carolina as Kari Lehtonen is 8–12–1 with a 3.42 GAA while Antti Niemi is 0–2–0 with a GAA of 4.53.

-Tyler Seguin has been on a hot steak as he scored 3 goals in his most recent game vs. his former team, the Boston Bruins. Seguin has 20 points at this early juncture of the season, as does team mate Jamie Benn. Seguin’s had prior success vs. Carolina scoring 7 goals in 15 contests.
-Dallas is 23–09 to the over the past two seasons when playing a team with a losing record and when playing a foe with a losing record in the first half of the season the Stars are 15–03 to the over.
-The Hurricanes are 2–0–2 to the over in their four home games this season allowing an average of 3.5 while scoring 2.5.
-The past two seasons the Stars are 22–11 to the over vs. teams that average 29.5+ shots on goal per game.
-Dallas is 6–0 to the over this season after winning two out of their last three contests.
-In their two games last season those two contests produced 8 and 10 goals.
-With the Hurricanes having scored exactly 3 goals in four consecutive games and the Stars netting 15 in their last four contests I am on the over at 5.5.
My EveryEdge Game of the Night is for the Stars and Hurricanes to sail over 5.5 goals +105.
