Seattle Seahawks vs. Tennessee Titans NFL Pick

Week 1, 0-1…Week 2, 0-2…Week 3….starting to notice a pattern here. Let’s see if we can do something this week to snap the early losing streak with these blog article picks.

This week I’m looking at a Seattle Seahawks vs. Tennessee Titans Pick.

The Seahawks will look to toss cold water on the Nashville partying

I’ve booked plays on two underdogs to start the new campaign and I’m staying in the same lane in Week 3. This line has continued to creep toward -3 on the home team, with most books sitting at -2.5 with the juice bumped to -120 (and a few -122 to -125). And now with the Titan money still coming in, we’re seeing a couple of -3s showing up.

The start to the Seattle season has been about as bad as it can get, despite sitting with a 1-1 record. They looked bad vs. the Packers on the road in their opener, which is a performance that can be explained away, but the showing vs. the Niners, on home field, is not one to easily brush off.

Their defense has not been Legion of Doom worthy and the offense has given Jets’ fans something to feel better about (maybe not quite that bad but you get the point).

The Titans also come into this matchup sporting a 1-1 record, albeit with a convincing win, but let’s not forget Week 1 and that bad loss. I do think we’re getting some value from the  “receny-bias” factor, based on the Titans victory last week and the Hawks throwing up all themselves.

But that Tennessee win was over Blake Bortles and the Jaguars, not the Patriots. This is still a team with holes on both sides of the ball.

Seattle’s O-line is a never-ending issue. That’s baked in. But I do think the Seahawks find ways to minimize the impact of that troubling front five. They’ve been successful accounting for weak O-line play in the past and I expect them to start to figure it out again. The running game should see an uptick with Carson getting more of a feature role, which will take some heat off Wilson, open up play action and allow Wilson to make some plays downfield.

The Seattle defense gives them a shot in every game. They’re not as good as they hey-days times, but they are good. Tennessee doesn’t present an overly stressful challenge for this group. They’re good, but not elite by any means. This defense has always shown they can bounce back from adversity and understand they’re going to be asked to carry the heavy load to get this team wins. Look for them to be up for it this week.

I’m playing Seattle getting +3 (I’ll pay a little extra to get it to 3 if I have to. Right now I can play them at +3, -118 but I’m going to wait to see if I can get better juice).

Good luck!
