Sportsbook Report: Game 2 Odds for Heat vs. Thunder

  • by

Oklahoma City is on a five-game ATS win streak but after beating the Miami Heat Tuesday, online sportsbooks had reduced NBA odds for Game 2 of the Finals

NBA teams who win Game 1 are 47-18 in the NBA Finals and just three teams in history have fought back from a 2-0 series deficit

The Miami Heat carried a 54-47 lead to the half in Game 1 of this series and it prompted sportsbooks to offer Oklahoma City @ even NBA odds after the break. It was a costly move for bookmakers, as the Thunder stormed back for a 105-94 win, cashing moneyline tickets and clearing the initial pointspread that some sports information sites posted as the 66-percent action play.

Kevin Durant (36 points, 8 rebounds) became the fourth youngest player of all-time to score more than 35 points in the NBA Finals and his 17 fourth-quarter points helped improve the Thunder’s home playoff record to 9-0 straight-up (6-3 ATS).

Oklahoma City (-5) has an 8-1 ATS record in its past nine games including a five-game ATS win streak at the Chesapeake Energy Arena yet the opening NBA odds for Game 2, Heat at Thunder, were trimmed by a half-point to -4.5. The Pinnacle Sports opener of Oklahoma City -4.5 with a total of 195 jumped back to -5 early Wednesday.
