Week 3 CFL Picks: Argonauts at Tiger-Cats

The Toronto Argonauts take on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Saturday with provincial bragging rights on the line

Andre Durie leads the Argos with 14 receptions for 194 yards through two games

The Argonauts and Tiger-Cats each made major offseason changes for 2012 with the Argos picking up veteran pivot Ricky Ray and Hamilton acquiring Henry Burris from the Stamps. While Ray has lead his team to a 1-1 SU/ATS record including an impressive win over the Stampeders in Week 2, Burris is still looking for his first win as a Tiger-Cat.

Although the Cats put up a valiant effort in a 39-36 loss to the unbeaten BC Lions, questions remain about a defense that has given up a whopping 83 points in just two games. Ray, who is coming off a 407 yard two-TD performance has found a new go to guy in Andre Durie, whose 197 yards in two games and 13.9 average yards per catch rank amongst the top of the league. If the Tiger-Cats aren’t worried, they should be.

While Burris and his offense have shown promise in bits and pieces they have struggled with consistency and until they show they can put it all together for a full four quarters, we have to side with the Argos.

Pick: Take the Argonauts
