Big 12 Season Win Total Picks and Odds

TCU or Baylor, Baylor or TCU?

That debate sucked up all the Big 12 air last season and it’ll be round two this year. They’re the unquestioned class of the conference and will be in the mix for playoff spots next January.

Ho hum.

When looking for Big 12 Season Win Total Picks for 2015, I sped past the high-rent district and went slumming…and yes, these days, a stop in Norman is slumming.

Big 12 Season Win Total Picks

It’s not the Bosworth days again in Norman, but OU is on the uptick after a blah 2014

Let’s have a look at these early Big 12 Season Win Total plays (check 5Dimes for the full list of College Football Season Win Totals)

Oklahoma Sooners Over 9 -110 (Odds from 5Dimes)

Single-digit win totals and conference losses up and down the schedule isn’t what Sooner backers are used to during the Bob Stoops-era – but it’s what they got.

In fact, OU have now lost six Big 12 games over the last two seasons.

But you can’t keep a good man down. I’m expecting Stoops to guide the program back to more familiar territory in 2015. 10 wins and a national ranking in the final polls await the Sooners.

Lincoln Riley is a key new piece at the O-coordinator position, the offensive backfield is stacked and TT transfer Baker Mayfield should win the starting gig and give them options to spread the ball around in that new offensive scheme. That said, losing four O-line starters isn’t ideal, obviously.

The D is anchored by a strong linebacking corps, a sprinkling of stars in other positions, but holes as well.  The secondary needs to be better and they will be. They have the pieces to be very, very good.

No question there is still uncertainty with the program, but I believe this staff will put it together, returning to a place of relevance in the Big 12, slotting in just below the top dogs TCU and Baylor.
