In today’s New England Patriots vs. Denver Broncos AFC Conference Championship game, the line has dipped back down to Denver -4 as of Sunday mid-morning.
Peyton Manning has been the storyline of the season offensively, breaking a bunch of records on his way to leading the Broncos to a game away from the Super Bowl. It’s only fitting he faces his old nemesis Coach Belichick and future Hall-of-Fame classmate Tom Brady.

For me, this game comes down to the Denver offense. I think Manning has enough weapons and will have the time to keep drives alive. Denver’s offense keeping the chains moving is what we’re going to see, I believe.
No question the New England coaching staff will arrive with a great gameplan, but Manning and Co. should be able to counter with enough to score a nice win. They have a balanced attack, with a running game that will get yards on first downs, opening up the playbook for Manning and making it very difficult on a vulnerable Pats’ D in tough 2nd and 3rd down yardages. Denver’s play-action should be very effective today.
Manning caught a break with perfect weather in late January in Denver, so that variable is off the table.
The set-up appears to be a good one for the home side.
